Part 1 is due by 4PM, Thursday, April 28, 2022. Part 1 includes filling out the online application form and uploading your essay and unofficial transcripts.

Part 2, the assignment piece, is due by Monday, May 9, 2022, by 5pm via email to artshumanities-office@lanecc.edu

If accepted into the second year of the Graphic Design Program you will be need to complete the following courses in Fall/Winter/Spring sequences in order to satisfy your degree requirements:

  • Graphic Design Production Sequence (MUL 231, MUL 232, MUL 233)*
  • Graphic Design Sequence (MUL 228, MUL 229, MUL 230)**
  • Web Sequence (ART 289, ART 290)***
  • Intermediate Typography (MUL 220)* (Available Fall only. Must have completed the prerequisite of Art 119: Beginning Typography with B- or better to register for this.)
  • Cooperative Education courses (Art 280 GD)****

*If you decide to complete the program in two years, you will take this sequence in the first year.
**If you decide to complete the program in one year, you will take all of the sequences listed.
***CIS 195 is no longer required for the GD AAS Degree, however, is still required for those who are also getting their Web Certificate.
**** Taken concurrently with the design sequence.

Make sure you upload as a PDF or a Word doc. Don't have Word? Open your essay in Google docs, and save it as a Word Document by going to File, then Download, and selecting Microsoft Word. Then just attach that file here.

  6. If accepted into the program, I understand that by failing to register for my reserved courses by 8:00 a.m. Monday on the first day of fall term that I will forfeit my place in the second year of the program.
  7. I understand that by failing to attend at least 50% of my reserved courses the first week of fall term that I will immediately forfeit my place in the second year of the program.
  8. If I decide not to go ahead with the second year of the program before fall term, I will notify the program as soon as possible.
