For over a decade, the NAP SACC program has worked with early care and education programs across the U.S., to improve the health of young children, setting them on a lifelong path to healthy eating and activity. In 2010, the White House Task Force on Childhood Obesity named NAP SACC as one of three innovative early childhood programs to help combat childhood obesity. NAP SACC is an evidence-based program using participant self-assessment to help early care and education programs compare their nutrition and physical activity practices to best practice standards. The assessments employ the most up-to-date research on how early care and education programs can help children ages 0 to 5 develop healthy eating and activity habits.
This program is funded by the Lane County Coordinated Care Organizations.
