Automotive Camp

Lane is excited to host our annual automotive camp to middle school and high school students. Come learn routine maintenance that includes tire changing, brakes, and coolant. Understand basic tools in automotive technology and walk away with your own tool box set!

June 2022 Dates and Times

20 spots for each week. Please mark your calendar.

  • High School students: June 20-23,  8:00am - 12:00pm
  • Middle School students : June 27-30,  8:00am - 12:00pm

Location

  • Lane's Main Campus in: Building 9 Auto Lab
  • Middle school students are required to be picked up by one of the authorized persons each day. They cannot take the bus home.

Required Materials

Please have the following items every day:

  • Snacks - microwave and fridge are not available.
  • Water bottle

Required Dress Code

In order to safely participate in this camp, you will have to:

  • Wear closed-toe shoes
  • Wear long pants
  • Pull medium-long hair back

Summer 2022 Automotive Camp Registration Form

Space is limited. Please submit a completed form and then submit your L Number to Brenda Williams to finalize the registration process. We will contact students and families who have been selected to participate by email.

You will be required to get an L Number after you submit this form and to attend camp. Instructions to get an L Number will be provided after your form submission. Deadline to get an L Number: A week before the camp starts.

Please list all persons allowed to pick up/check-out in case of emergency, the student, one per line, with their phone number. Middle school students are required to be picked up by one of these authorized persons each day. They cannot take the bus home.

Sharing of student information between school district staff and Lane Community College staff requires the student to sign a release of student record information, which is covered by the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). If you, the student, chooses to release your information, it will be in effect during this camp only. The release will only apply to the HS Connection and Advanced Tech offices.
